Upcoming Classes
● Monthly Newborn Class● In-Person
Our newborn classes are designed to help parents feel informed, prepared, and supported during the transition home with a new baby.
Topics may include:
● preparing for your baby’s arrival● feeding basics, including breastfeeding and bottle feeding● safe sleep and newborn safety● soothing and calming techniques● diapering, bathing, and cord care● understanding normal newborn behaviors● when to call your pediatrician● caring for yourself during the postpartum period
Classes are educational, interactive, and open to questions from both first-time and experienced parents.
Bringing home a newborn can feel exciting, overwhelming, and exhausting — often all at once. Our classes provide practical guidance from pediatric professionals who care for newborns every day.
Families attend to:
● build confidence before delivery● learn evidence-based newborn care● ask questions in a supportive environment● better understand feeding, sleep, and safety● prepare for the first days and weeks at home
Most importantly, parents leave knowing they do not have to figure everything out alone.
Who should attend?
Our newborn classes are ideal for expectant parents, first-time parents, and growing families looking for a refresher on newborn care.
When should I take the class?
Many families attend during the third trimester, but parents are welcome at any stage before or shortly after delivery.
Can my partner or support person attend?
Yes. We encourage partners, spouses, grandparents, and support persons to attend whenever possible.
Are classes in-person or virtual?
Currently, classes are in-person, so you can meet the experienced providers and ask questions face to face. Call our office for availability on virtual classes.
Do I need to be a patient at Advanced Pediatrics?
No. Classes may be open to both current and prospective families depending on availability.
