At Advanced Pediatrics, we provide the highest level of care for infants, children and teens in Northern Virginia in a small practice environment.  We are conveniently located near Tysons Corner where we provide a family centered approach from the time your infant is born.  Recognized regionally and nationally for the care we provide, we invite you to become a part of our family!

H1N1

Think flu is over for this year?  Do not be caught off guard!  Flu typically experiences two peaks in activity, the first in the fall and the second in late February and March.  If you have not vaccinated yet, do it NOW!  We continue to offer seasonal flu vaccine to all patients over 6 months of age and parents.  While we highly recommend H1N1 vaccine, we do not offer it at this time.  However, the following can help you find locations where the H1N1 vaccine is available:

Flu Vaccine Update: 

Currently we are offering injectable influenza vaccine for all parents and children over the age of 6 months old.  Please call to set up a time to receive the vaccine.

H1N1 Update: 

The staff at Advanced Pediatrics unequivocally recommend getting the H1N1 vaccine. 

•  We recommend vaccination for all children over 6 months of age.
• If your child had "suspected" flu or had a positive influenza A test but did not have a confirmed case of H1N1 (rarely done) a vaccine against H1N1 is still recommended.
• The vaccine is especially helpful if children have a history of wheezing, heart disease, immune problems, neurologic disease, or other chronic illnesses.
