Exciting news at Advanced Pediatrics.

One month ago we announced that after 43 years of practicing medicine, our Founder Dr. Schwartz, was taking medical leave due to a cancer diagnosis. We are happy to report that Dr. Schwartz is responding well to his targeted immunotherapy treatment and will be available part-time to see patients. We are opening his schedule on a week by week basis, so please call to schedule a check-up, sick visit or consult appointment with him. We would also like to invite you, our extended Advanced Pediatrics family, to join us at a Celebration of Life event for Dr. Schwartz to be held on June 10th from 2 - 4 pm at Our Lady of Good Counsel (OLGC). Families, colleagues and friends are all welcome.  We so appreciate all of the emails sent to Dr. Schwartz and his family expressing goodwell and sharing medical care anectdotes. These stories have been an inspiration to us all. Please feel free to send your sentiments to notesfordrschwartz@gmail.com.

We are also excited to announce and introduce you to our new provider, Dr. Kristen Johnson. She is an experienced pediatrician joining us from Johns Hopkins Children's Center. She is eager to serve you and your family. Meet Dr. Johnson.

Our Mission & Passion

In a world of big box stores and retail clinics, it is our mission to maintain the feel of a small practice while continuing to deliver big ideas as a leader in healthcare.

How do we do it?  Creating a great practice starts and ends with good people.

How many times have you walked into a medical office to be frowned at by the receptionist?   Or left an office not knowing if those labs just drawn would be reported to you?   Did you ever wonder if the nurse who just helped you even knows your child's name?  Not so at Advanced Pediatrics, where every staff member is part of a team, ensuring you leave the office confident that we know your child and listened to your concerns. Even the nurses on the phone, day and night, will become familiar voices.

We hire people who are smart, determined, and committed to helping you and your family. It starts with the doctor caring for your child, but may end with the nurse calling to see that your child is getting better as expected. Every person has to be at their best for the best care for your child; it's just one of our big ideas about what your family deserves.

Services and Insurance

Have basic questions about the practice?  Learn about making appointments, accepted insurance plans, how to get advice after the office is closed, what our financial policies are, and all the extra things we do to elevate the care we provide.  We have big ideas about how to deliver the best medicine to your family and we are excited to share them with you.
